Pink & Green Organic Marzipan Body Souffle to Nourish the Driest of Skins

Pink & Green is an organic line of products for people with the most sensitive of skins. Made by Carol Alpin a holistic therapist who knows the real importance of self care and making some time for yourself in today’s busy world and especially from the social media train has really taken over our lives. It genuinely can be very hard to switch it off.

Self care is woven into the fabric of Pink&Green – Pink to represent women and green to represent the environment and of course the green, organic products that she uses in her brand. 

So with self care in mind the Marzipan Souffle only has 2 ingredients – Beautiful Organic Shea Butter which treats so many skin issues like dry sore skin, stretch marks, Sunburn, skin cracks, eczema it will help restore elasticity to skin so great for older skins too. I do sometimes use this neat on my skin and it really is a skin wonder for me. 

The other ingredient is organic cold pressed unrefined  plum kernel oil which funnily enough was used in the master chef final too! So perhaps a now and upcoming beauty and food ingredient as that is where the light marzipan fragrance comes from in the souffle. Very clever as then there is no fragrance oil in this product to irritate anyone with sore or red skin.

Texture wise for me it is not quite as light as a souffle but to me that also doesn’t really matter because it melts so beautifully onto the skin, firstly into the lovely raw oils and then it disappears straight into the skin leaving it silky soft and nourished. No residue or heavier oils left sitting on top of the skin, no paraben, sulphates, fillers just pure silky skin heaven! 

This is an eco friendly and Carol encourages you to reuse up your containers which I love as seeing our oceans struggle and the wildlife that live there on such a huge scale right now is just heartbreaking, the time for change is right now ..

Kiss the Moon Luxury Rose & Frankincense Soya Wax Candle.

Hello Beauties & fellow candle lovers!

In the crazy days of the social media circus so many of us find it almost impossible to stop out minds from racing and being able to switch off so we can sleep, it is hard because when you turn your computer off and reach for the tv controls and the blue light from tv’s, computers, phones, this blue led light is a huge part of keeping us awake on top of the stresses of modern day life.

This is my second Kiss The Moon candle now and they are just fantastic for scenting my bedroom beautifully at bedtime and helping me to switch off. Made with 2 fragrances I absolutely love … Rose which is so soothing, it benefits the mind and the soul. It is mellowing on your mind cutting down stress and it is soothing too, a cup of rosey lee made with rose petals can help with stress, we use it in face oils, face mists and all aspects of Soothing our body and skin, it is also extremely beneficial on the mind too.

Plus a real favourite of mine Frankincense which is renowned for helping to banish negative thoughts, helps balance out the mind clearing space to allow you to get a better nights sleep. It is also a superb healing oil on skin too and has been used for centuries to heal wounds it is very medicinal.

The combination of these 2 powerful natural essential oils in this candle are a real winning combination, the fragrance is addictive, so rich and enticing and truly is good for the soul in so many ways. I also have it in a room mist too haha! Oh and a bedtime hand cream so nourishing at bedtime and as we sleep with out hands close to our faces so as the cream warms the beautiful oils we inhale the wonderful scent again. It is enticingly romantic and beautiful!

So now I get to talk about the glass!! The glass is a stroke of real genius in my opinion because it looks like a very dark navy/black but when your candle is lit you can see the lovely warming, clean, healing yellow flame through the glass, it flickers and dances around the glass and the logo like a big old moon moon dancing in and out of the clouds in the night sky. It is mesmerizing and in my opinion this is what takes this candle to another level.

I find some bedtime candles too bright, I don’t know why, but they can hurt my eyes when I am tired. With this glass I get beautiful blues and purples and some pinks coming from this glass when I am watching it in bed from different angles.
It really is stunning and for that reason along with the heavenly fragrance makes this a real winning candle for me and a scent I will keep going back to because my body and mind love the fragrance too.

Kiss the Moon are an Eco Luxe brand that specialise in sleep products, they have used the best soya wax in this candle and high grade essential oils and it shows. The wax is beautifully creamy and you can see the quality of the oils within the wax.

I can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t love this candle, the packaging is also exquisite, you just know by look and feel that this is a very special candle!

So there is is .. my first ever candle review! I hope you like it as this candle is an absolute pleasure to use. Everything about it feels luxurious and what a beautiful gift it would be for mothers day with the hand cream .. the gift of luxury and great sleep!

BOTANYBLEND Organic MERU Face Oil

Yep .. still freezing! But the sun is shining for a change, happy days!

Botanyblends are a small company based on the beautiful Devon coast.
The owner Katie has a background in sensory integration which deals with how the brain processes sensations like touch and smell that sparked her interest in learning aromatherapy, put these 3 things together and what she has developed a unique talent to create some very special, high potency, organic, raw, luxury & green oils full of active ingredients to really treat the senses and most importantly the skin.

I honestly believe when you only make 3 products (so far) as a brand you have nowhere to hide, they have to be perfection and I believe that they are!

The oil I have and am reviewing is the ‘MERU’ oil, skin balancing and packed full of essential fatty acids and omegas to nourish and strengthen the skin.

‘Mount Meru is said to be gold in colour and so strong it supports the heavens. These golden drops of sunshine restore harmony, vitality and purify the skin, giving it strength and balance.’

I warm about 6 drops of the oil into my hands inhale the fragrance for a moment or 2 and press onto my face taking it down over my neck and chest. First thing I notice is how lovely and light this oil is and how well it glides over my face, plus it sinks in with in 5 minutes leaving my skin so silky soft it is unreal!

With essential oils of Neroli and Lotus flowers to revitalise, refresh, and tone the skin. Peruvian Jojoba, Sacha Inchi & Safflower it is packed full of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.

Because it is so lovely and light you can use it morning and evening, it really does put the glow back into your skin and leaving it feeling so supple and velvety soft, I have loved this from when I first set eyes on it, beautiful in every way!
